INPUMA and the Preparation of the 13th Malaysian Plan (RMK-13)

Datuk Dr Anis Yusal Yusoff, the Executive Director of the International Institute of Public Policy and Management (INPUMA) and the Centre for Universiti Malaya Leadership and Professional Development (UMLEAD) was invited by the Ministry of Economy to provide and present his public policy inputs at the Preparatory Conference of the upcoming 13th Malaysian Plan (RMK-13) at the Movenpick Hotel & Convention Centre KLIA.

Hosted by the Ministry of Economy, the conference served as a platform for expert input and public information gathering to draft the national master plan of the RMK-13 (2026-2030). This year's preparatory conference for the RMK-13 primary objective was to identify megatrend issues and challenges and identify the best approach and new needs in national development and policy formulation.

During his session, Datuk Dr Anis shared INPUMA perspectives on balancing transformation technology with value-driven governance, which are the cornerstones of development and national policy-making.

Apart from the session with the Minister of Economy, YB Rafizi Ramli, and his ministerial officials, the two-day event also attracted many other renowned eminent personalities, including leading World Bank Economist Dr Tara Beteille, Professor Jeffrey Sachs from Columbia University, Tan Sri Jemilah Mahmood Pro-Chancellor of Heriot-Watt University Malaysia, and YBhg Dato' Adnan Pawanted, Chairman of Johor Plantation.
