INPUMA Hosts Delegation from Beijing Administration Institute for Collaborative Opportunities
13 November 2024 – The International Institute of Public Policy and Management (INPUMA) at Universiti Malaya (UM) welcomed a delegation from the Beijing Administration Institute (BAI), China, to explore potential collaboration through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). This initiative aims to enhance partnerships in public policy and leadership programmes, emphasising opportunities for staff and student exchanges and joint research and publication efforts.
The BAI delegation included Mr. Minghui, Director; Professor Wu Jun, Deputy Director and Expert in Public Sociology; Assistant Professor Yang Jiaying; and Zhang Xi, Manager of International Cooperation. They were warmly welcomed by INPUMA staff, led by Datuk Dr. Anis Yusal Yusoff.
This visit marks a significant step towards strengthening ties between international institutions in public administration, policy, and leadership. Currently, INPUMA maintains several MOUs with esteemed global institutions, such as the Willy Brandt School of Public Policy in Germany, Kazan Federal University in Russia, KDI School of Public Policy in South Korea, and the Institut Pemerintahan Dalam Negeri (IPDN) in Indonesia. The collaborative efforts aim to foster a global exchange of knowledge and expertise, enhancing the quality of education and research in public policy.
